The Nereo Cave
The Nereo Cave is considerd the biggest marine cave of Mediterranean Sea. The main way is more than 300 hundred meter, similar to a high way tunnel. Have about 10 very large entrance/exit. Start from 0 mt to 30 mt maximum depth. Two internal lakes conduct to upper rooms. All ever marine life. It is possible to make many different dives swimming in the different internal ways, and in the enviroment around and out of this cave.It is probably one of the best dive site of all Mediterranean Sea. Here, about 50 years ago, started the red gold fever, the fishing of red coral. It was the dream of the small group of divers of that era. It is the more request dive of all the area and one of more famous dive of Italy..Many articles were written in diver and nature specialized magazine and several television services were done describing and showing this wonderful cave. A diver must visit this cave once in his lifetime.
